REFUND POLICY
Effective Date: November 10, 2025
This Refund Policy (“Policy”) governs all purchases of downloadable digital products (“Products”) made through the website (the “Site”), which is owned and operated by The Dream Map (“Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).
By purchasing or downloading any Product, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by the terms of this Policy.
1. SCOPE OF APPLICATION
This Policy applies exclusively to downloadable digital products offered for sale on our Site. It does not apply to any third-party websites, services, or products, even if accessed through hyperlinks contained on our Site.
This Policy forms an integral part of our Terms and Conditions and must be interpreted in conjunction therewith.
2. GENERAL NO-REFUND POLICY FOR DIGITAL DOWNLOADS
Because all Products are intangible digital goods delivered electronically and instantly accessible after payment, all sales are final.
Once a download link has been issued or access granted, the Product is considered “delivered,” and we are under no obligation to provide refunds, exchanges, or cancellations.
This practice is consistent with guidance from the Washington Attorney General’s Office, which recognizes that sellers of digital goods are not required to accept returns unless items are defective or misrepresented.
By completing a purchase, you expressly waive any statutory right of withdrawal that might otherwise apply to physical goods.
3. EXCEPTIONS — DEFECTS AND MISREPRESENTATION
We will consider a refund or replacement only under the following limited circumstances:
a. The Product file is defective, corrupted, or inaccessible, and we are unable, after reasonable effort, to provide a fully functional replacement; or
b. The Product materially and substantially differs from its description or preview as displayed on the product page at the time of purchase.
How to submit a request:
You must contact us in writing via our mail within fourteen (14) calendar days of purchase. Your email must include:
- Your order number and the email address used at checkout;
- A clear description of the defect or discrepancy; and
- Supporting documentation such as screenshots, error messages, or download logs.
We will review the request and respond within seven (7) business days. Additional information may be requested to verify the claim. If the issue is confirmed, we will either provide a corrected file or authorize a refund, at our sole discretion.
4. PARTIAL REFUNDS AND STORE CREDIT
In circumstances where a Product is partially defective or only a portion of the file is unusable, we may, at our sole discretion, issue:
- A partial refund, or
- A store credit redeemable for future purchases on the Site.
Any credit issued is non-transferable, has no cash value, and must be used within twelve (12) months of issuance unless otherwise stated in writing.
5. CHARGEBACKS AND PAYMENT DISPUTES
You agree to contact us first to resolve any issue before initiating a dispute or chargeback with your payment provider.
If you file a chargeback prior to seeking resolution, we may deny a refund and will fully participate in the payment processor’s dispute resolution procedure, submitting evidence of delivery and acceptance.
Unsubstantiated or fraudulent chargebacks constitute a breach of contract and may result in account suspension, denial of future purchases, and, where appropriate, legal action to recover losses and associated fees.
6. DIGITAL LICENSE REVOCATION
If a refund or replacement is granted, your license to use the Product shall be deemed automatically revoked.
You must immediately delete and permanently erase all copies of the Product from your devices and storage systems and refrain from any further use, distribution, or access. Continued use after refund constitutes unauthorized use and may subject you to liability for infringement under applicable copyright and contract law.
7. GOVERNING LAW AND JURISDICTION
This Policy shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Washington, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles.
Any claim or dispute arising from or relating to this Policy or a refund request shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Washington, and you hereby consent to the personal jurisdiction of such courts.
8. FRAUD PREVENTION AND ABUSE OF POLICY
We reserve the right to refuse service, deny refunds, or terminate user access if refund requests appear fraudulent, abusive, or made in bad faith.
We may also maintain internal records of prior refund activity to prevent repetitive or exploitative behavior.
Misuse of this Policy, including submission of false claims or unauthorized chargebacks, may result in civil and/or criminal liability under Washington law.
9. POLICY AMENDMENTS AND ENTIRE AGREEMENT
We reserve the right to amend, modify, or replace this Policy at any time without prior notice. The latest version, identified by the “Effective Date” above, supersedes all prior versions.
Your continued purchase or use of the Products following any amendment constitutes your acceptance of the revised Policy.
This Policy constitutes the entire agreement between you and the Company regarding refunds and shall be interpreted in harmony with the Company’s Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy.
